Simone Biles
11 médailles olympiques. Santé mentale.
Born in Ohio and trained in Texas, Simone Biles is the most decorated gymnast in history, with eleven Olympic medals, seven of them gold, and some thirty world championship medals. Several skills in the sport's code of points bear her name. By stepping back from several finals at the Tokyo Games to protect her mental health, she opened a worldwide conversation about athlete wellbeing, then returned to the summit in Paris in 2024. Her influence now extends well beyond the gymnastics hall.
She has redefined sporting excellence while showing a rare form of responsible leadership, placing athlete health at the centre of the global conversation on elite sport.
