Aliko Dangote
Plus grande fortune d'Afrique. Raffinerie de 650K barils/jour.
Starting with a trading business in cement and sugar in Kano in the late 1970s, Aliko Dangote built the largest industrial conglomerate in West Africa. Dangote Group is the continent's leading cement producer, with plants in about ten countries, and has expanded into sugar, salt and food processing. His refinery outside Lagos, among the largest in the world, aims to end Nigeria's reliance on imported fuel. Regularly ranked as Africa's wealthiest person, he also directs his foundation toward health, nutrition and education across the continent.
He shows that large-scale industrialization can be built on the African continent, with measurable impact on jobs, infrastructure and energy sovereignty.
