Patrick Collison
Stripe $95B depuis l'Irlande.
Born in Limerick, Patrick Collison won Ireland's Young Scientist competition at sixteen and, with his brother John, sold a first start-up while still a student. In 2010 the brothers founded Stripe, whose online payment tools now serve millions of businesses and process more than a trillion dollars a year. Valued at around 95 billion dollars, the company has also launched Frontier, an advance purchase commitment to accelerate carbon removal. Outside Stripe, he co-founded the Arc Institute, a nonprofit biomedical research organization, and is a prominent advocate of the study of scientific progress.
From Ireland he built part of the global economy's plumbing and directs his influence toward long-term causes, from climate to science, combining measurable impact with societal engagement.
