Fred Swaniker

Born in Ghana and raised across several African countries, Fred Swaniker has devoted his career to building the continent's next generation of leaders. A Stanford MBA graduate, he founded the African Leadership Academy in South Africa, followed by the African Leadership University and ALX, which train tens of thousands of young Africans each year in technology and entrepreneurship. Recognised by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader, he champions the ambition of developing millions of ethical, entrepreneurial leaders for Africa.
His education model has already produced cohorts of entrepreneurs and executives across the continent, with a measurable effect on youth employment and an influence that reaches well beyond Africa.
