Claudia Sheinbaum
Première femme présidente du Mexique.
A physicist by training with a doctorate in energy engineering, Claudia Sheinbaum spent years in scientific research, including work with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, before entering public life. She served as environment secretary and later as head of government of Mexico City, and in 2024 was elected president of Mexico, the first woman to hold the office in the country's history. Leading Latin America's second-largest economy and a key trading partner of the United States, she has focused on energy transition, infrastructure and social programs, while establishing herself as a prominent voice on the international stage.
