Profile

A graduate of Oxford in public policy, Bolor-Erdene Battsengel was not yet thirty when she took charge of Mongolia's communications and information technology authority, later serving as vice minister for digital development. She led E-Mongolia, the platform that brought hundreds of public services online and transformed how citizens deal with government, including in the most remote parts of the country. Founder of Girls Code, which teaches programming to girls from rural areas, and of the Mongolian Women's Fund, she now pursues her work on digital inclusion and women's empowerment with international institutions, including the World Bank.
