Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala
1ère femme et 1ère Africaine à diriger l'OMC.
Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is the first woman and the first African to lead the institution. An economist trained at Harvard and MIT, she spent twenty-five years at the World Bank, rising to managing director, and twice served as Nigeria's finance minister, where she led major reforms and negotiated relief on the country's debt. A former chair of the board of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, she argues from Geneva for a global trading system that serves development, public health and the climate transition.
At the heart of a trading system under strain, she carries an African and female voice whose authority rests on concrete results delivered at every stage of her career.
