Isabella Lövin
Climat priorité n°1 Suède. WWF.
A journalist and author before entering politics, Isabella Lövin first drew attention with an acclaimed book on overfishing, then served in the European Parliament before co-leading Sweden's Green Party. As climate minister and deputy prime minister, she championed the climate law committing Sweden to net zero emissions by 2045, among the most ambitious targets in the world, and previously served as minister for international development cooperation. She continues to advocate for ocean protection and a just transition in European and global forums.
She wrote one of the world's most demanding climate commitments into law and embodies a way of governing where environmental responsibility takes precedence over short-term calculation.
